Teamy is a software product that enables organizations to deploy, configure and supervise artificial intelligence agents, connect third-party tools, coordinate tasks, process files, manage organizational context and control certain actions through human validation mechanisms.

For any questions about this Policy, you can contact us at: contact@teamy.run.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to the Teamy website, the Teamy application, organization workspaces, commercial or support communications, and related service features.

It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, services or platforms, even when they are connected to Teamy. Those third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Where a subscription agreement, Data Processing Agreement or separate written agreement provides specific terms regarding the processing of personal data, those terms apply in addition to this Policy.

2. Role of Orbyte Labs

Depending on the context, Orbyte Labs may act as a controller or as a processor.

Orbyte Labs generally acts as a controller for data used to manage its own operations, including account creation, commercial relationships, billing, support, security, communications, usage analytics and service improvement.

When Teamy processes personal data contained in a Client’s workspace, files, connected tools, instructions, tasks, workflows or business content, Orbyte Labs generally acts as a processor on behalf of the Client. In that case, the Client remains responsible for determining the purposes, means and legal basis of the processing.

Where the Client is subject to the GDPR, Swiss data protection law or any equivalent regulation, such processing may be governed by a Data Processing Agreement or equivalent appendix.

3. Data we collect

Depending on your use of Teamy, we may collect or process:

  • account and identity data, such as name, email address, profile picture, organization, role, permissions and login identifiers;
  • commercial and billing data, such as business contact details, subscribed plan, AI credits, invoices and payment history;
  • workspace content, including prompts, messages, instructions, files, documents, workflow data, generated outputs and other content submitted to or processed through Teamy;
  • data from connected services, according to the permissions granted by the Client;
  • integration data, such as OAuth tokens, authorizations, scopes, integration identifiers and connection logs;
  • technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser, device, actions performed, timestamps, errors, logs, AI credit consumption and model usage;
  • communications with Orbyte Labs, such as support requests, product feedback, commercial exchanges or form responses.

4. How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • provide, operate, maintain and secure Teamy;
  • create and manage accounts, organizations, users, roles and permissions;
  • run AI agents, workflows, tasks, validations and requested actions;
  • connect and operate integrations with third-party services;
  • process files, instructions, documents and knowledge added to Teamy;
  • manage subscriptions, AI credits, invoices, payments and commercial terms;
  • provide support, resolve issues and communicate with users;
  • monitor performance, prevent abuse and protect service security;
  • improve Teamy and develop new features;
  • comply with legal, contractual, accounting, tax or regulatory obligations;
  • protect the rights, safety and interests of Orbyte Labs, its clients, users or third parties.

5. Legal bases

Where the GDPR, Swiss data protection law or an equivalent regulation applies and Orbyte Labs acts as a controller, we rely, depending on the case, on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract, to provide Teamy, manage accounts, subscriptions, AI credits, payments, support and contractual obligations;
  • Legitimate interest, to secure the service, prevent abuse, improve Teamy, analyze usage, manage B2B commercial relationships and protect our rights;
  • Legal obligation, to comply with accounting, tax, regulatory, judicial or administrative obligations;
  • Consent, where the law requires specific consent, for example for certain cookies, marketing communications or optional processing.

Where Orbyte Labs acts as a processor on behalf of a Client, the Client is responsible for determining the applicable legal basis for data processed in its workspace.

6. AI models, connected services and providers

Teamy uses third-party providers to deliver certain service features, including hosting, infrastructure, authentication, storage, analytics, support, billing, payments, communications, integrations and artificial intelligence models.

Teamy may connect to services such as Google Workspace, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Discord, GitHub, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Stripe, as well as AI model providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or other equivalent providers.

Orbyte Labs does not train its own general AI models on client data.

When Teamy sends prompts, instructions, files, context or other content to third-party AI model providers in order to provide the service, such data is processed in accordance with the applicable terms, policies and commitments of those providers.

Teamy does not systematically store the full content of connected third-party services. Some data may, however, be processed temporarily or retained where necessary to provide the service, display a result, execute a task, maintain a history, manage an approval, diagnose an issue, ensure security or comply with a contractual obligation.

Your use of third-party services remains subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers. Orbyte Labs is not responsible for their privacy, security or retention practices.

7. Sharing data

We may share certain personal data with:

  • our service providers and subprocessors necessary to operate Teamy;
  • authorized users of the Client’s Organization, according to the roles, permissions and configurations defined by the Client;
  • connected third-party services, where necessary to execute a requested action or feature;
  • authorities, courts or relevant third parties, where necessary to comply with the law, protect our rights, prevent abuse or ensure service security;
  • parties involved in a corporate transaction, such as financing, restructuring, merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell users’ personal data.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide Teamy, manage the customer relationship, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and ensure service continuity.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data, account status, contractual obligations, security needs and the Organization’s configuration.

When the Client terminates its subscription or requests deletion of its Organization, certain data may be deleted or made unavailable in accordance with the applicable agreement, Data Processing Agreement or our internal procedures.

Some data may be retained for longer where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, prevent fraud, resolve a dispute, maintain security logs or defend our rights.

9. Security

Orbyte Labs implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed through Teamy against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

These measures may include, as applicable, access controls, permissions, authentication, encryption, monitoring, activity logs, backups, environment separation, internal access restrictions and security procedures.

However, no method of transmission, storage or processing can be guaranteed to be fully secure.

The Client is responsible for the security of its own devices, accounts, passwords, networks, users, connected services, permissions and internal validation processes.

10. International transfers

Orbyte Labs is based in Hong Kong. Teamy and its providers may process data in several countries, including outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or the Client’s country.

Where the GDPR, Swiss data protection law or any equivalent regulation requires specific safeguards for international transfers, Orbyte Labs will use reasonable efforts to implement appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, contractual commitments with relevant providers or other mechanisms recognized by applicable regulation.

The Client acknowledges that using Teamy may involve the processing of data in jurisdictions whose data protection rules may differ from those applicable in its own country.

11. Data subject rights

Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights over their personal data, including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

To exercise these rights for processing where Orbyte Labs acts as a controller, you can contact us at contact@teamy.run.

Where the request relates to data processed by Teamy on behalf of a Client within its Organization, Orbyte Labs may redirect the request to the relevant Client or assist the Client in accordance with the applicable agreement. In such cases, the Client generally remains responsible for responding to the request.

We may request additional information to verify your identity or authority before processing a request.

12. Cookies and communications

Teamy may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the site, maintain sessions, secure the service, analyze usage, measure performance and improve the user experience.

Where required by law, certain non-essential cookies or technologies may be subject to your consent.

We may send service-related communications, including messages about your account, security, product updates, support, billing or administrative information.

We may also send commercial or product communications where permitted by applicable law. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications where this option is available, without affecting communications necessary for the operation of the service or the contractual relationship.

13. Data relating to minors

Teamy is intended for organizations and professional use. The service is not intended to be used directly by minors.

The Client agrees not to use Teamy to knowingly collect or process personal data relating to minors, unless previously agreed in writing with Orbyte Labs and appropriate safeguards are implemented.

14. Changes and contact

Orbyte Labs may update this Policy to reflect changes to Teamy, legal requirements, features, providers, security practices or processing activities.

The updated version will be published on the Teamy website with its effective date.

Continued use of Teamy after the updated Policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of that version, where permitted by applicable law.
